Top News Desk: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun paid a visit to Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital (CPH) to meet the policemen who were injured in an attack carried out by BNP activists.
The visit took place yesterday Sunday (July 30), during which they personally checked on the well-being of the injured officers. Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Khandkar Golam Farooq and other senior police officials were also present during the visit.
The attack occurred on Saturday (July 29) at the entrance of the capital, where BNP leaders and activists were conducting a sit-in program without permission from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). The incident involved the ambush of law enforcement forces, the torching of a bus, and the detonation of cocktails.
The Home Minister and IGP’s visit to the injured officers demonstrate the government’s concern and support for its law enforcement personnel during such challenging times.
