This is how to think that 1100 bodies are in front of us: Chief Justice

Top News Desk: Chief Justice Hasan Faiz Siddiqui said in the bail application of Rana, the owner of the Rana Plaza building in Savar, that when we judge, we have to think that about 1100 bodies died in front of us in that incident.

The four-judge Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Hasan Faiz Siddiqui adjourned the hearing of the bail application in the case against the building owner Rana in the case of Rana Plaza collapse adjacent to Savar bus stand for 6 months (July 10).

Today, Rana’s lawyer Kamrul Islam asked the Supreme Court for Rana’s bail at the beginning of the hearing, saying, ‘My Lord, he has been in jail for ten years. So bail him out now. Then the Chief Justice said, “Let there be another six months.”

Speaking of justice, Rana’s lawyer asked for bail, Chief Justice Hasan Faiz Siddiqui said, “When we judge, we have to think that in front of us are about 1100 bodies that died in this incident (Rana Plaza collapse). And standing on the other side, their relatives are looking at us and asking for justice.

Note that on April 24, 2013, 1 thousand 136 people were killed in the tragic collapse of the Rana Plaza (10-story building) adjacent to the Savar bus stand. After this incident, accused Sohail Rana was arrested from Benapole in Jessore while fleeing to India. Since then he has been in jail.
