According to reliable DMP sources, the attacks on police cars occurred in several areas of the capital, including Jatrabari, Nayabazar, Dholaikhal, and Shyamoli, during the clashes that erupted on Saturday.

Deputy Police Commissioner (DC) of the Media and Public Relations Department of DMP, Farooq Hossain, confirmed the troubling development on Saturday afternoon. He stated that several police cars had fallen victim to attacks and vandalism during the clashes in the aforementioned areas. The extent of the damage is concerning, with reports indicating that 4 to 5 police vehicles have been targeted and damaged.

The clashes between BNP leaders, activists, and the police intensified at various entrances to the capital during the sit-in program. Tragically, the unrest led to additional incidents, such as bus arson and cocktail explosions, further exacerbating the tense situation in the city.
