Top News Desk: Secret and personal information of millions of Bangladeshi citizens has been leaked from a government website. This is claimed by Victor Markopoulos, a researcher at Bitcrack Cyber Security, a cyber security company.
The leaked information includes citizens’ full names, phone numbers, email addresses, and national identity card numbers.
Victor suddenly found out about the leak of personal information of Bangladeshis on June 27. After that, he informed the matter to the Bangladesh e-Government Computer Incident Response Team (CERT).
US technology media TechCrunch has reported that the leak of personal information of Bangladeshis is true. To be sure about this, the leaked information is found on the website’s ‘Public Search Tool’.
TechCrunch said they would not disclose the name of the website because it still contains the leaked information.
Victor Markopoulos, who made such a serious claim, said that none of the Bangladeshi government institutions that he informed about the information leak by e-mail or other means, did not respond to him.
