Top News Desk: Kazi Habibul Awal, the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), revealed that the schedule for the 12th National Assembly elections in Bangladesh will remain undisclosed until October. Consequently, the highly anticipated national election is scheduled to take place at the end of December.
Speaking to reporters at the EC Secretariat on Sunday (July 30), the CEC stated, “The announcement of the 12th National Assembly elections’ schedule is likely to occur in the last week of October or early November.” In such a scenario, citizens can expect the election to be held towards the end of December.
Prior to this announcement, the Election Commission, led by CEC Kazi Habibul Awal, conducted a meeting with a delegation of election observers representing four countries, including the United States and China.
